Mike has a Masters Degree in Counselling from Thames Valley University London and a Diploma in Counselling from Plymouth University, a Certificate in Psychological Counselling and holds both a Diploma and Certificate in Stress Management.  He is also a Counselling Supervisor.

He is a Senior Accredited Counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP  registration Number 518000) and is bound by their code of ethics.  He is a Registered Independent Counsellor within the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors (UKRC), and continues his personal self development by attending both local and national training courses within counselling and psychotherapy.

Mike has counselling supervision every month to ensure his therapeutic standards remain at the highest levels at all times.
